Structured Summer Activity for Children

Summer is here, and so are your kids. They’re home from school. You love them and you enjoy having them around, but…Isn’t there something better they can be doing than hanging around the house glued to their iPad?
Sure there is. While experts argue over structured versus unstructured summer vacations, the truth is that a balance provides the best option. While it’s important for kids to have some free time after the long school year, structured activities are also very beneficial.
Enrolling your child in a structured activity such as martial arts, or a summer camp, extends learning from the school year, which makes the transition back to school in the fall a lot easier. In addition, it’s a great way to introduce a new skill or experience, one that maybe your child doesn’t have time for during the school year.
